Suspense, mystery, intrigue, sexy moments…The Red Ledger Part 1 has it all. This was a fantastic start to a new series by Meredith Wild. I loved everything about this. Meredith does a fantastic job of immediately drawing you into the story, rest assured you will devour this in one sitting. Part 1 is not long, but it packs a punch that will have you anxious for more.

Tristan is living a solitary life, but doesn’t question how he’s in this profession until Isabel enters his life. She’s another job for him, yet something seems familiar about her. The way Meredith slowly unravels the mystery connection between these two is so engaging and exciting. I love a well told story that has heat and suspense intertwined. This is going to be a slowwww burn that will be worth the journey. It’s exciting to anticipate what will happen next for Tristan and Isabel.

I don’t want to give to much away, this is one of those stories you must read and embrace every moment. This is magnificent work by Meredith! She has indicated this will be like The Hacker Series, which is one of my favorites of all time, so I know I’m in for the ride of my life. I’m really excited for the rest of this series. I highly recommend taking a chance on Tristan Red, it might be a matter of life or death but worth every precious moment!

I always tear through my Meredith Wild books at the speed of light. She's just that good. And riveting. And romantic. And heart-breaking. And about a thousand other adjectives that add up to one inescapable truth the woman can tell a story like few others on my keeper shelf. If she's on yours--and even if she isn't--this is the book that will have you placing the author into a different stratosphere of greatness. So just clear your schedule and expect to be doing nothing else as you turn pages on this book as fast as you can. I am completely HOOKED on this story--but more than that, I am solidly invested in these two incredible characters, who have to face eye-popping odds to find their way to each other. They're both crafted with layers of such intricate care and beautiful detail, you're invested in them as people and not just names on a page. A truly stunning book, serving as the gateway to what's sure to be an amazing romance suspense series. I devoured every word.
Wow! This is a fast paced story you don’t want to put down. Tristan Red “Stone” is lost without his memory and is a hit man who gets paid well. His next assignment is an old girlfriend who lives in Rio de Junero . He is ready for the kill when she calls out his name he hesitates and realizes she is the key to his past. Read this book and you’ll be hooked for the next section. He now has to protect Isabelle and himself and what’s in the Red Ledger.
This is not what I thought it was going to be. The so-called plot simply seems a way to tie the sex scenes together. I enjoy sex scenes, certainly, but not when the whole point of the narrative appears to be centered around them. Flimsy, predictable, and unsatisfying. I was looking for a series that would keep me interested but this isn't it. I couldn't even finish it and I am a book slut who can read almost anything.
Five more purchases of this drivel? No thanks. I hoped for action and suspense. I found boring, characters, very little action, with lots of bland conversation and sex to fill in the balance. I plan to forget Tristan and Isabel quickly, I could care less what happens in books 2 through six. One was bad enough.
I'm seeing Red!! Not literally but Red has definitely become my favorite color. Meredith Wild has done it again with the beginning of this new series. The Red Ledger Part 1 gripped me from the beginning and didn't let me catch a breath until the last page. Isabel is running from a past she can't forget and Tristan "Red" Stone can't remember his. They are thrown together in a heart-stopping, heartbreaking, breathtaking tale of suspense and romance. This story is hot, action-packed and hot. Did I say hot? The chemistry between Tristan and Isabel is amazing. I can NOT wait for Part 2.
This book is a teaser. It does not stand on it's own and does not compell me to purchase the next few paragraphs of this story. What we witness here is two interesting characters reuniting, butting heads, running and hiding whatever it is (because we don't know anything definitively) that happened between them and since they parted. The book ends abruptly without any type of closure. It just stops. Since there are several books in the series, I surmise the next book will be similar. A long, drawn out explanation of what happens the next day. I gave it 2 stars only because the characters were interesting. This book didn't give me enough to care what happens next. I understand that a series is a a continuation of a story. What this looks like to me is the first few chapters of a novel, broken into separate books to capitalize on earnings. I don't appreciate that.
Ever since Meredith Wild said she was writing a new series I was so very excited and she did not disappoint. In fact she blew me away with Red Ledger 1. The book starts with a bang, and just keeps going strong. Tristan has lost his memory and wants it back while Isabel has his memories and can give them to him. In the midst of this is extreme danger, intrigue, sexy steamy love, and two people trying to find answers. Tristan is so very swoon worthy and is one delightful Alpha man. Underneath his hardened exterior is a man who loves deeply and wants to protect Isabel at any and all costs. He is also lonely embittered and angry. Isabel has come to Rio to forget when she becomes embroiled in Tristan's work. She is one strong woman who is a partner and not a shrinking violet. The love she feels for Tristan is so sweet and precious. I always love Meredith's descriptive writing, and she brings Rio alive with all the vivid details and descriptions. I felt immersed in Rio and cannot wait to read Red Ledger 2
